August 3rd: AA International Ltd Director, Ian Robinson, returned from Central Asia where he  conducted a review of regional markets and food production in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, again for the UN World Food Programme.

A field mission to the Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was undertaken between June and August 2008. Field vists were made and detailed discussions held with 102 key participants in the agricultural sectors of these areas. Reviews of reports and statistics were conducted and recommendations made accordingly. This report will soon be available from the UN World Food Programme Regional Office in Cairo.

October 18th, Ian Robinson returned from South Sudan, where he led an agricultural team, conducting a Crop and Food Supply Assessment for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation.
